Terms of Service

1. Service Description

Runner's Math ("the Service") is a free web-based running pace calculator and race planning tool. We provide pace predictions, course-specific race plans, VDOT training zones, weather-adjusted pacing, and related running utilities.

2. No Warranty

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Pace predictions, race plans, and all other calculations are estimates based on mathematical models and publicly available data. They are not guarantees of performance. Actual race results will vary based on training, conditions, health, and many other factors. Always use your own judgment during a race.

3. User Accounts

You may optionally create an account using Google OAuth to save race plans and preferences. By signing in, you authorize us to access your basic Google profile information (name, email, and profile photo). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to interfere with, compromise, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service in a manner that degrades performance for other users
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity

5. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, pace models, and content, is the intellectual property of Runner's Math. Course data is sourced from publicly available GPX files and official race organizations. You may use the Service and share your race plans freely, but you may not reproduce or redistribute the underlying software or data sets without permission.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Runner's Math and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service (which is zero, as the Service is free).

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
